Alma Media Q1 2003 Interim Report

Alma Media's Q1 2003 interim report shows improved profitability with net sales rising 2.8% to 120.3 MEUR and operating profit rebounding to 6.1 MEUR despite modest Finnish GDP growth of 1-2%. The company restructured divisions, acquired full ownership of Suomen Lehdentekijät-ryhmä Oy, and reduced interest-bearing debt by 14.6 MEUR through strong operational cash flow.
