Kongsberg Automotive Shawinigan Divestment 2022

Kongsberg Automotive announced the sale of a portion of its Shawinigan operations to BRP for CAD 136 million (EUR 104 million) on August 9, 2022. The transaction includes approximately 300 employees transitioning to BRP, while KA establishes the Shawinigan Tech Center as a center of competence in electronics and software. The divestment supports KA's strategy to optimize capacity and costs across its 34 global locations in 18 countries.
