Palantir released its Q3 earnings on 9th November 2021. The company modestly

beat revenue consensus estimat es, and substantially beat earnings estimates.

The stock traded lower the following day, possibly dis appointing the mo re

optimistic market heading into earnings.

While sales this quarter recorded 36% YoY growth, which is a slight sequential

deceleration to the last quarter, long -term indicators are much better and

matter more. RPOs, customer adds, billings, show meaningful el evation and

signal big growth to come in 2022. Those that know the bus iness model would

reali ze that it takes time for customers to translate into sales acceleration and

contr ibution profit. Several customers and contracts have been added over the

past few quarters . It require s patience to yield change s on the financials , which

will meaningfully move the needle in 2022 . Commercial revenues have been on

a rapidly accelerating trajectory with deal val ues ballooning and customer

headcounts growing every quarter.

The earnings results were accompanied with video and product presentation s

that reinforced how differentiated and unique thei r software offerings are . The

company specifically described Foundry as the central nervou s system an d the

cardiovascular system of the modern enterprise. The analogy of “operating

system ” for the se platforms is being used quite literally among Palantir ’s

customers. Meanwhile, upgrades with continuous development of Foundry,

Apollo , and more have been ongoing and are pro viding improving value
